Arthur Calvi

AI builder — Marseille → Paris · Leading GenAI at DxO Labs

Paris, France

I design and ship AI products and research tooling with a bias for clarity, simplicity, and systems that scale.

Previously remote sensing (Kayrros; PhD on forest phenology). Now focused on applied GenAI across DxO — from internal tools to features in DxO software.

Hello and welcome

I’m Arthur — born in Marseille, now based in Paris. After classes préparatoires, I joined École Normale Supérieure. I started in civil engineering, then switched to mathematics and graduated from the MVA Master (Mathématiques, Vision, Apprentissage).

I began in deep learning for remote sensing: an internship at Kayrros, then a PhD with INRIA/LSCE. I wrote two papers, but research life didn’t fit. Trying ChatGPT for the first time was a turning point — a compressed interface to the world you can talk to. I started building tools for my work and realized I wanted to build full‑time.

I met Jérôme Ménière (CEO, DxO Labs), joined as a GenAI consultant, and grew into leading the GenAI Transformation group — a small team shipping AI across the company and into DxO software.

Outside work I split time between the Alps and Corsica; I love surf, skiing, and mountain biking. I also used to be a Halo geek. Here you’ll find some of my work and occasional essays.
